You may think of me as an abstract artist only. I truly am eclectic (by choice). I love the creative process and love to create whatever I’m in the mood to create. A few years ago I did a lot of Plein Air painting usually at one of the beaches in San Diego. This one is one I did at Moonlight Beach (#Encinitas) and remember that day so well. I was with Three other artist friends and we each had such different styles it was magnificent. I take with me what one of these creatives always said “Art On my friend”. I take that as my motto. So I say to you my friends, art on 😊
I am a doodler. No piece of paper is safe around me. This little pen and watercolor was done while I was in a zoom meeting listening to a speaker. There is something very natural and unplanned (not that I plan much in my art). But this is really a free form doodle that takes shape as I unconsciously draw.
“Shakespeare” has just returned home after a long trip away. I have missed you my friend.
I start a painting with usually free abandon. I change direction sometimes. I let my higher muse take over.
I haven’t been painting as much recently. It isn’t because I didn’t want to. Traveling, art shows, packing art for shipping. If I’m not in the studio, I’m at least dreaming about being there. 😊.
One of the great things about being an artist is the artist friends. This was 6 years ago at an artist retreat on Victoria Island, great art, laughs and friendship. We all have evolved since then , in a very good way. Miss all you wonderful humans. ❤️
