Finding Serenity – A Journey Through Quiet Creativity

As an abstract artist, and painter, I’ve always been known for my vibrant and energetic abstract paintings. My work has been a reflection of my creative spirit, bursting with colors and life, but as any artist can attest, there are times when we seek solace in the serenity of quieter subjects. In this blog post, I want to take you on a journey through my new abstract landscape series, where the vivid energy of my previous work gives way to a more tranquil and contemplative expression of art.

 

My artistic journey has been marked by constant exploration and experimentation. As I am always experimenting with the ideas that pop into my head, I find myself drawn to take a direction, that reflects the need for a quieter, more introspective form of expression. I haven’t stopped the wild and colorful paintings, but will move sometimes into the pursuit of serenity.

These paintings are characterized by their neutral color palettes and a sense of tranquility that invites viewers to pause and reflect, and are not bound by realism but instead capture the essence of nature’s beauty through my unique abstract lens. Embracing the principles of minimalism, allowing for the interplay of space, texture, and form to take center stage.  My use of subtle shades and muted details draws viewers into a meditative state, encouraging them to lose themselves in the gentle rhythms of my art.  Originals and prints are available on my website: www.BarbaraMosher.com

As an artist, I’ve found a way to balance the vibrant energy of my previous work with a newfound sense of serenity in my abstract landscapes.
